主な業務
Mr. Wang Yong is an accomplished lawyer in the area of intellectual property and copyright, particularly in the industries of entertainment, media, information and internet.
Mr. Wang Yong has participated in over 100 significant litigations instituted in the Supreme People’s Court of China (SPC), and the major provincial-level higher people’s courts such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, etc., and get positive results in many landmark cases of which some cases were published by SPC as the typical and directive cases.. Before private practice, Mr. Wang served as the executive secretary for the Office of State Council Intellectual Property Working Committee from 1994 to 1996. On May 1996, he joined the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) to assist MPAA to establish the MPAA Beijing Representative Office, and then had been serving as its Chief Legal Counsel till 2005.
During his tenure at MPAA, Mr. Wang has established excellent working relations with relevant governmental authorities, including State Copyright Administration of China, General Administration of Customs, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Culture and the State Administration of Industry & Commerce. Mr. Wang has on numerous occasions worked with local governments and represented clients before the courts in many jurisdictions.
After leaving MPA, he co-founded a local professional IPR law firm before joined JT&N.
