Zhang Ying’s working experience has mainly focused on commercial litigation and intellectual property (contentious and non-contentious) since 1994. Ms. Zhang’s practice area nearly covers all aspects of intellectual property rights. Ms. Zhang has abundant experience in trademark portfolio management and intellectual property management in corporate compliance and commercial transactions, IP litigation and other related contentious matters. She has also represented her clients in dozens of administrative and civil actions before the Chinese courts and other administrative bodies, such as SAIC and local AICs, TMO and TRAB, General Administration of Customs (GACC), local Customs agencies of GACC, SFDA, and courts in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

• Ms. Zhang used to work for the intermediate court and basic level court in Beijing as legal clerk for 2 years before she joined a UK IP consulting company Beijing office in 1997 as a legal counsel. In 1999, Ms. Zhang joined a large scale Chinese firm as the IP counsel and litigation lawyer of the international division. From 2001 to 2007, Ms. Zhang was a senior associate of ZY & Partners, a Chinese IP boutique firm where Ms. Zhang has gained substantial experiences in IP portfolio management for multi-national companies and managing IP-related litigations and administrative actions. In March 2007, Ms. Zhang joined a UK firm, Clifford Chance, as the senior associate of Litigation and Dispute Resolution (LDR) Group, where she was involved in dozens of business transactions in respect of IP related issues as well as general litigation and arbitration issues, in addition to various IP prosecution and enforcement cases for specific clients. In March 2011, Ms. Zhang joined JT&N as a partner of IP Group.
